Anyone else hate the new Jalopnik layout? I can't even go there anymore it's so awkward. Bummer, too since I liked their info.

Yea, there have been several articles about how there traffic dropped like 75% and they refuse to change it back. They also changed their sister sites.

You can use http://ca.jalopnik.com/ and get the older version back.

I hate it. I liked the old linear format. It was way easier to browse the articles. Now I have to hunt for stuff to read.

I'm one of the few folk that like their new layout, but then again I do most of my web surfing on a netbook.

I think I understand what they were trying to accomplish. They just f-ed up the implementation.

Yep, all the sites owned by Gawker have changed to the same layout, and all the old readers seem to hate it.

But SOMEONE must like it, as the layout does not seem to be going anywhere.

I quit reading it because of the change. It didn't help that in the last six months they have had a few people come and go. The attitude seemed to change from "We aren't cool and we don't care" to "We will tell you what is cool". I dunno, the place seemed to go downhill for me. Made it easier to leave.
