This must be used to clean down to the nitty gritty?

That's a nice big $$$one. I use a 2.5 liter one for carbs and small stuff. Invaluable in the garage IMO.

I've looked into those and I got the impression that something as large as that was pretty pricey, unless you find a real deal.

But the cleaning looks fantastic. I would LOVE to have one of those.

I’ve used them before and they are amazing. They worth it, getting one is on my list of things to do.

I tried one of the small HF units a few years ago and it didn't work at all. Fluke?

The little tiny HF one doesn't work real good, unless your cleaning your belly button ring.

Whenever you use these cleaning machines, big or small ........ always flush your parts through crevices or galleries with a forced fluid flow, as these vibratory cleaners do a great job of loosening particles from the parts surface ....... but do nothing to remove those 'now loose' particles out of the area or crevices.

In other words, I had an oil cooler and oil tank 'ultrasonically' cleaned by a shop and they came back all wrapped in plastic and looked great ........... though just for precaution I decided to flush them out before I used them ......... very happy I did, as a lot of particles came out of everywhere, with the post 'forced fluid' flush. shades.gif
