Doubt these idiots would rip off a personalized plate and use it on the street. Chances are it's hanging in the idiots garage or room.

I once had my VA plates stolen off my GTI, only to find them out on the street.
Turns out I had failed to put the new registration year sticker on and when the thief saw they weren't valid, he (or she) dumped them.

This happened to my wifes's personalized plates once. They found them on a stolen car, same make and model, abandoned in Oakland a month later. If both plates are stolen, they will not issue them. If one is stolen, then they will replace the personalized plate. On person suggested only putting one plate on, and keeping the other inside the car. If pulled over, can show the other plate, however, the way cities are trying to run up revenue, and give out more tickets for infractions, maybe not cost effective.

How sad obviously they aren't smart enough to come up with their own clever personalized tag.
