Hey you PNW guys, it's in the works to build a new Autosports Park in Shelton, WA.

It's being proposed right next door to the Wa.State Patrol piratenanner.gif

Here's the website: http://raceinmason.wordpress.com/

What we need is a few business owners in the car industry to write some letters on their letterhead and mail it to the county council. Mention something about your business and how it supports club activities at motorsports parks such as this one being proposed. Businesses such as: Restoration Design, Automobile Atlanta, 914rubber, Tangerine Racing, PMB Performance, etc. (just a small example)

May I suggest wording such as:
'our company is company that supports the Porsche 914 owner. We are only a small piece of the motorsports group that is interested and supports your proposed park. We are actively involved in restoration and performance items for the Porsche 914; a car that will utilize motorsports parks such as yours. We build and support enthusiasts in motorsports to not only make their cars safer, but also more sporting.
We believe that your motorsport park is a stong commitment to building stronger local businesses. The clients these parks bring to your community are those who wish to be safe and enjoy their automobiles. They will need lodging, meals, fuel, and services; thus enfusing money into your community. Additionally, it will bring construction and jobs to families in your community. So please take this letter as a strong support to your proposed park. Thank you and we look forward to hearing this park has become a reality.

There will be a hearing on April 6th @ 10am in Shelton. I will be there and have a place to stay for about 6 people on Tuesday night if anyone would like to show up and make a comment. Free lodging!

Comments? Anyone have experience in their communities about what will get projects like this shut down? Any advice on 'hot words' to avoid at the public input session.
