what is a good year 911 front end, to convert to a 5 lug? and what is an average price for a compleate fron t end, and what should it include?
Mike Bellis
Mine is not a typical example. 1986 930 Turbo, big callipers, big rotors... I sold a front and rear setup without callipers or rotors for $400. I typically see just the front with rotors for $500-$800

I paid $800 for a complete '84 Carrera frontend. That included everything from the rotors and calipers to the crossmember and shocks and a-arms and torsion bars.
Bolted the whole thing straight into my 914 ...

It all depends on what you intend to do with the car.

My overall favorite is the 3" Boge they used on 911T's and 914-6's

I spent an afternoon typing it out once. Don't wanna do it again. biggrin.gif

Just did this last month.

- 3.5" Boge struts off an SC - a bit more heavy duty than 3" - $200
- early 911S alloy calipers - $425 (much less weight than SC calipers) + rebuild
- SC vented rotors - $100
- Front hubs $50
- Grease caps $15

...and don't forget the upgraded MC - another $140.

But you might get lucky and buy the whole lot off a wreck for a lessor package price.
