Anybody know what this switch on the dash could be for on a 74 2.0?

It's obviously for whatever the DAPO wired it up to. tongue.gif

But seriously, that's not stock and could hook up to anything. From an ignition kill switch to an electric windshield washer pump.

The switches look similar, but are not quite the same. Just another possibility, i guess.

My 74 has the same switch. Assumed it was for the non-existent headlight washer.
MrHyde
I figured it was for the halogen blinker fluid release mechanism..

That or the flux capacitor switch

My 1974 has the "cutout" exactly where shown in the picture of the headlight washer.

Wipers water?

I'm going with lens squirter. Havent had a chance to look and see where it goes. The switch is spring loaded.

From the pics, looks like the nozzle is on the bumper pad. I dont recall a nozzle on the bumper pad on mine. I'll look when I get home.

Thanks for the replies

I am 99% confident that is the headlight squirter switch. Even in my 76 914 it had the cutout for the switch, although covered by the dash material.
