I have finally finished the process and want to publish the numbers before I cut the pushrods.
2056, Raby 9550 cam with complete valve train upgrade.
How do these look?

full lift half lift rod length
#1 in .436 .218 271.71mm
#1ex .419 .2085 271.77

#2 in .438 .219 271.26
#2 ex .419 .2085 271.74

#3 in .436 .218 271.04
#3 ex .411 .2055 271.55

#4 in .438 .219 271.88
#4 ex .414 .207 272.30

Even though the #s are very close, is it normal to have these differences? Especially the 3 & 4 exhaust. Should I cut each rod to the exact length, or is it acceptable to cut all at an average length?

I cut all mine to the same length.

Those push rod lengths are dead on what I get when I prep an engine kit with that cam. Cut them all the same length.

ok, the average is 271.65625. I'll cut them all 271.6

With my work schedule, its taken almost 4 weeks to get this right. Now I can get on with getting this thing finished.

For anyone contemplating doing this themselves, you need the patience of Job. If your the type to get frustrated easily just don't even attempt it. The old "its good enough" attitude is not gonna work here!

The entire engine is the same way.. Valvetrain geometry is one of the most time consuming procedures that will be carried out with the engine.
