What a porker!

Not bad for a production car based endurance racer with touring car cage. That little 2.0 must scream to make 275 hp. Could you imagine a 275 2 liter T4?

CB Performance has been putting turbos on T1 motors for a long time, with power outputs of 275hp or greater. They use them on sand buggies and the word is that they hold up well, so might not be a stretch to support a T4.

That Mazda Miata 275 hp 2.0 liter is naturally aspirated. I think by most calculations for turbos assume double the displacement. So it takes 4.6 liters of T1 motor to equal a little 2.0 Miata motor. shades.gif I think the most I have seen from a NA 2.0 t4 is about 200 hp.

That same Mazda 2.0 blown could crank out north of 450 hp!

JP, I bet that same car in AX trim could be dropped to 1600 lbs easily. Touring cars still carry lights, metal body panels, lots of cage, safety system, windshields, lots of gauges and monitoring systems.

After owning a MX5 I have always though it would be a hoot to turn into a prepared car. They have better suspension than old Miatas and that 2.0 motor holds tons of potential with engine resources easily available to get tons of hp from that little ford motor.
