Opinions:

I was testing the CHT sensor....turns out it is bad...and inadvertently touched my multimeter on the OHMs setting to the lead going back to the ECU.

Got a bit of a arc when I did... Did I fry one of the transistors? headbang.gif

Second question;

Any way to test that the ECU is still good before?

Thanks in Advance

if you arced the voltage output to the temp sensor to the return back to the ECU, probably not.

If you shorted it to chassis, then maybe.

If there was an arc then there was voltage present.
If there is STILL voltage present, then you are probably OK.

Check across the leads with the DMM in voltage mode.
You should probably read something like 5.0 Volts, but thats just a guess.

correct me if i am wrong, but if you are testing for resistance (ohms) you cant provide a short thru your meter, testing for amps you can..
