Likely to be one of the most original, low-mileage, overdrive-optioned, B-GTs around with only 41,842 documented miles, and still wearing its original factory paint. The color combination is that of the car featured on the MG sales literature in 1972, Harvest Gold on Navy Blue. I have included a photo below. As seen in the photos, the color is very similar to Porsche "Sahara Beige." In some lights it takes on more yellow, while in others it appears more beige. It is our favorite color for the GT, and when you see the car in person, you can understand why they chose it as their feature car color.

The car is in great shape mechanically, largely due to work done by British Car Specialties in Stockton when they found the car. This car does have the desirable overdrive and wire wheel options, which less than 5% of the production for 1972 was equipped with. Cosmetically, the car looks outstanding for a nearly 40-year-old MG. The low mileage has played a large part in this. As to be expected with ~40 year old paint, there are minor nicks here and there, but overall the paint looks great. The interior is very tidy, with the dash being in excellent condition without any imperfections. The only improvement was the seats were reupholstered in the later factory style corduroy from Moss. We also have the original rear seat cushion, not seen in the photos. The car currently has mini-lite wheels from the UK. Records, sales brochure and original blue plates are still with the car. Simply put, in terms of patina, mechanicals, color combination... I have never seen a cooler B-GT than this one.

The car was discovered in 2006 with only 30,627 miles stored in a garage in the San Francisco bay area by Norman Nock, a well known local British car enthusiast and owner of British Car Specialties following Stockton Jaguar, Triumph, MG in the 70's. According to the original service book the car was sold new in August of 1972 by BMC Oakland, CA to the first owner from Alameda, CA. The engine number is listed as 18V585Z-L2306. When Norman Nock purchased the car in 2006 nearly all of the mechanicals were gone through. Cosmetically, the car was kept mostly original. Any exceptions to originality, such as the ferrari-style horn seen in the engine bay, were all done in a way that they could easily be removed. The car also has its original wire spare with original Pirelli Centurato tire. The original jack and bag is also with the car and in excellent condition.

Since the car had been stored in a garage and not used for a long time prior to being found, the following mechanical work that was done to the car in the last 10k. miles, between 2006 and 2011.
