Guys,
Just took my 75 for a fang, 1st time accually and after 2 min of the giggles as its alive after a long haul..... long story, but i never drove it before today...

I noticed the seat was twisting under power... so further examination has found the seat has cracked right where it meets the base...

So who has repaired it???? im thinking of making an alloy "L" shapped bracket and fixing it with bolts thru the fibreglass, as my trim is not 100% im happy to have a nice alloy plate bolted thru the material....

What has been your fix??

Or do the covers come off easy, so i can fix and reglass it...

The covers come off easy-ish. IIRC, they are hooked on somehow or another. I think re-glassing the seat is a far better idea than drilling holes and bolting.

the cover is all stapled on...pretty quick to remove...

I would consider fiberglass and possibly imbedding a washer to add some strength.

If you were closer I would say , go find another seat...but you are in the land of rare 914's, so fix it.
