ok, i'm a cheap bastard and i want to save $150 and install my own windshield. however, taking one out does not train one for putting another back in. if i have all the stuff (moulding, butyl tape, windshield) is it pretty straight forward? what should i look out for? should i drink beer, before or after?

reason i am asking is the place that has the cheapest price for the glass, won't do mobile installs and not having a windshield makes it a little difficult to get the car to them short of paying for a tow.

muchas gracias mi amigos.....(sombrero smiley) smoke.gif

It is not hard at all. Just need somebody to walk you through a few variables. I have put in propably 500 windshields in my life. Some can be hard, but a 914 is on the easiest end of the spectrum. I'd be glad to talk you through it.
