I have a dead flywheel. Extremely worn and done for. Anyone have any ideas of 'tools' or such that I can use this for?

Crankshaft stand for rod and timing gear assembly.

If you had four of them, they could be made to be hold down for EzyUp corners.

Gold plate it and make a belt buckle out of it.

Send it to a well known vendor. They will list it as a "racing option".

You'd have to remove some teeth for weight savings. I think the other one I saw listed had every other one removed.
You could just use it as a really dangerous frisbee.

Long range target.
We hang tractor cogs out at 200+ yards at the machine gun shoot. The same 2 cogs have lasted for years, but they are pretty pock marked now.

If you have a lathe you could cut out the center of it so you could use it for converting a 3.0 six flywheel to a push type clutch for 914 conversions.

If you've got 4 of them, and 4 bad crankshafts, you could use them as jack stands

I used to have a dog that would pull the screw-into-the-ground type dog chain right out of the ground. My solution was to get a big eye bolt (from a power pole, I think, about 18" long) and some big washers and two nuts. Dug a big hole and buried the flywheel so the eye bolt was just visible. Dog was still there when I got home after that!
Been using a _good_ flywheel for rod and gear assembly for decades now, I thought everyone did that?

I'd think about it as a bearing surface for the teflon base bearing pads on a big Dobsonian telescope... yeah.
