I know I am going to get flamed for this, but AA has two temp sending units.
1) Oil Temp sending unit # G039 919 268 for $44.
2) Sending unit for after market VDO guage # RVDO 323 055 for $15 dollars. I have the VDO guage in my console without numbers, I just want something that will give me a ballpark seeing their are no number on the guage anyway. Will the $15 dollar one fit in the toco plate and work. My car is a 74 LE that had the guage in the taco plate. Dis I say I was on a real tight budget.

It will work... But you may run out of gauge at the top or at the bottom end. That is, the "normal" reading may wind up being off the bottom end of the scale, or off the top end of the scale. Tough to tell until you try it.

And AA? Wellllll.... You can probably find the sender for the same price at other vendors who have a better reputation.

wouldn't your LE have the sender in the taco plate? did it break? some don't have a high opinion of AA so buyer beware!
