I've seen alot of crazy prices (not just 914's) lately, must be a lot of crackheads out there.

I like the flares - kind of like mini factory flares.

...nice but a bit pricey...
maybe a sign of things to come...
that's when all our rust turns into gold.....

this could be one of the few original /6 that were build in '72!

the ad is unclear about this, but he does suggest that the original engine (which comes with the car too) is also a /6 ...

the date he states (Jun 01, 1972) is the date of the first registration and NOT the manufacturing date.

the last few original /6 had the inginiton column (key on the right) like the /4s ...

could be idea.gif

someone should ask him for the VIN!

I like the flares too. Very nice but the price seems very steep.

He's probably just like every other dork that spent $50K restoring a car and thinks he can get his money out of it. He'll try a few times and then decide to keep the car forever or dump it at the market price.

The dash look interesting.

Not only in Germany...
in the Netherlands as well
this six has a price tag of 33.000 Euro. Original six

add is in dutch wink.gif but pictures speak for themselves biggrin.gif

seems like the cars you guys hack up sawzall-smiley.gif
are still worth something here. And worse cars get restored as well

Yeah, but asking price doesn't meant anything. Do these cars actually sell for substantially more in Europe? If that was the case you'd imagine there would be a steady stream heading back to Europe.
Jacco
prices tend to be higher here since supply is very limited.
asking price for an "unrestored" Ca import was 8850 euros no bidders yet though
asking price for a car that "needed some attention" probably bad battery tray and longs... 3500 euro's this was also bid on the car. (it did have a rebuild engine tranny and brakes....)

but indeed a lot of cars are imported... most original european cars are rusted to the ground biggrin.gif

importing a single car is not worth it... buy a 1500 dollar restorable car... import and shipping about 1500 dollars .(guestimate) makes 3000 dollars... for that money about the same quality european car without the hassle of import.
But then again importing a nice restorable original six might be worth it hmmmm

anyways... just some thoughts....
