Where would you start looking when the car runs for about 15 minutes then dies?

Gonna need some more info cuz there's so many different things that can cause this. What year 914, engine size, is it fuel injected or carbed? Does it just die or are here things leading up to its dieing?

It looks like a fun car though I am thinking I could get a nicer one for just a little bit more money.

Well, it could be fuel pump, or the coil breaking down, or it could be a bad fuel filter. A plugged filter will stop it after about that much time. Its hard to say without looking at it. Good luck.
