I was running the car checking the carbs (40IDf Webber) and noticed the right carb was leaking gas some were in the lower center. I just rebuilt them and they seemed fine. were is the mostlikely place they would leak from in that place?

Accelerator pump cover. Also make sure they're not overflowing because of a stuck needle valve or float.

I don't have the set of carbs any more, and I'm not near my IDF 44's, but I seem to remember there being pressed-in plugs at the base of the bowl. One of the plugs had a slow seep that the PO attempted to fix with some JB weld (attempted being the key word here). I ended up taking the carb apart, tapped the hole and screwed in a threaded plug (teflon tape to seal), never had another problem with it.
