I am getting all kinds of bad info from vendors on Evil Bay, but they have the best kit deals on Sachs kits at about $300 per kit for the 6 spring disc, PP and TO bearing.and alignment tool.

I need a kit. Anyone know the Sachs part number?

The PET is not helping. I know all the other PET parts to get, and I have most of them.

I keep hearing that KF 198-01 is correct, but some say KF191-01 is OK too?

Someone on here must know.

HELP!

Thanks!

John

I bought the clutch, and flywheel from Jake Raby, it was machined/balanced etc., price was right and I have a very smooth operating clutch. 73 2.0

KF 191-01 is what 2 parts suppliers told me today.

Is that what you have Ron?

The right parts come from our trusted 914 specialist suppliers who know the cars and support the website with their advertising dollars, as well as their participation. Sure you MIGHT save a couple of bucks shopping elsewhere, but they you might end up with the hassle of getting the wrong or less than optimum parts and having to go to the effort of correcting the problem.

I bought a "genuine" sachs clutch disk off ebay, pictured on a sachs box, to receive chinese crap. Cap'n crusty hit it on the nail. ^^^

I haven't been able to go look ... I can tomorrow (Sat) ... If I could find my damn Sachs Catalog I could tell you. I'm pretty sure that is the one. It is also listed for the 914/6.

Edit: Yep, the KF191-01 is the correct one (also fits 914/6). The KFG198-01 is for the 1.7/1.8L engines. Hah ... found my catalog.

Evil-By is often not what is advertised, but the others here will stand by their stuff! dry.gif
