Awesome. I didn't know the camera car placed 2nd in class, 8th overall. I was watching to see if his son Chad was in there anywhere, He and his mom were on location during shooting.

Be there for the Friends of Steve Car show in June, which will include Mike Hagen's #40 914/6 GT featured in the 1970 Le Mans event poster.

I remember going to see that movie when I was a kid. My dad said jump in the station wagon were going to the drive in movie. Had no idea what it was going to be. I watched it from the swing sets down by the front of the screen set up for the kids.

It was a bit boring in spots for a 8 year old...But I would never forget the 917 !

I think that this movie and 'Grand Prix' staring James Garner are the two most realistic motor racing films that have ever been produced. beerchug.gif

Great work and have both on dvd.

Click to view attachmentNumber 40 at MSDS,inc. some years ago. We designed a temp roll bar into it so he could enter the slalom at a PCA Parade. Funniest Parade moment was when a gal told Mike that the #40 was the BEST replica she had ever seen...right down to the graphics smile.gif
