I’m replacing the 16 x 7 and 16 x 8 Fachs (Fuchs replicas) and 225/50 and 245/45 Yokohama A008RsII wheels and tires on the 914 2.7 with BBS RA wheels and Yokohama A032R tires.

What width wheels should I use?

I have six BBS RA wheels … four 16x8 et11wheels and two 16x7 et23 wheels.

Should I run staggered wheel widths (7” in front and 8” in back), or the 8” wheels both front and rear?

Thanks in advance!

Eddie

Anyone have a pair of 16x9 BBS RA or BBS RS wheels for sale?

Thanks in advance!

the wider the better ...

run 8 all around!

then sell me your current wheels wink.gif

then get a pair of 9's for the rear later.

The car currently has a Weltmeister front sway bar and no rear sway bar. Last time out at the track (lapping day), the car exhibited oversteer on acceleration with the tire pressure at 31psi all around. By reducing front pressure by 2 psi the handling became more balanced.

For autoX purposes the 8" front wheels might be a benefit, but since this is primarily track car (DE and time trial) I'm concerned that balancing the car might be more difficult without the wheel stagger.

Any thoughts?

Eddie
