I've looked @ Engman's writeup on how to install the latch kit but the post doesn't show the latch installed without the cover. Could someone post a pic of the kit mounted sans cover?

Y - I've seen that but it doesn't show a pic of the mechanism installed without the cover. My release had been modified a bit so I'd like to see how to marry the two pieces. I may have to get my hands on another stock latch to get things set up correctly.
