I have a 74 2.0 with dual Weber carbs (P.O.), I need to replace the accelerator cable, it is starting to fray. Does anyone know if the stock cable will work correctly?
or do I need a different cable to reach the carb linkage?
Thanks in advace.

The stock cable CAN work. Depends on your exact setup, which linkage you're using, how the cable is mounted now.

I just replaced the throttle cable in my 6 with a Terry cable. Cost around 40 which is about twice a stock cable. IMHO it is worth the money.

The Terry cable is awesome.

Terry Cables are good replacements for both the throttle and clutch cable.
