Changed the old tailshifter to a side shifter. I need help adjusting the linkage.
I used the Haynes method and it was close but not just right. Shifted fairly good at first but was a bit hard to get 1st gear. I started adjusting and things have gotten worse. I searched this site for gearshift linkage adjustment and came up empty. When I get 1st and R I cannot get 4th and 5th. When I get 4th & 5th I cannot get 1st and R. Any help appreicated.
