Aha, I was just reading the roadglue 914 trivia, and saw this:

The front side-marker lights operated as supplemental turn signals on Porsche 914 cars built for Italian, Danish and Japanese markets.

Strange, eh?

I also noticed the bit about the extra light on the combo guage.. it's for the sportomatic oil temp warning.. if you happen to have one. (mine is going to be a check engine light) smile.gif

There was a thread here (I think.. or maybe the bird board) about a year ago on re-wiring the side markers so they would blink. I recall that a wiring diagram was posted as part of the thread. Try a few well-worded
searches.
