A friend of my mothers gave me some parts and this muffler came with it.
Any info at all would be great but i have never seen one like this.
Im not even sure it for a 914..

Looks like a 75 1.8L

Not a lot of '76 1.8s out there. You can count them on the fingers of no hands.

The fitting is for an EGR, and it's not in the right place for the pipe on a 914.

That is definitely not a 914 part.
The EGR port is in the wrong place and the input flanges are not co-planer.
Maybe it's a "Bus" or "Thing" item.

Bus, actually. Things had T1 engines with a slip on muffler connections.
