Otto's Venice is a good drive north, but he is an old school 914 shop with years of wisdom and attitude.

Niklas - try this for Jim's recco above - http://www.carparc-usa.com/

Pristine Porsche (now Pristine Motorsports) is in HB too, but don't know if they're working on any 914s now.
http://www.pristinemotorsports.com/home.aspx

Also this Sat. 6/18 is the local Porsche Club's "Porsches & Doughnuts" at the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop parking lot at "The Block" shopping center in Orange (about 15-20 miles from HB) SR22 Freeway off at State College Blvd. North - about 8:30-10-ish in the morning (this is the 3rd Sat am).

You can also double dip that morning for the Cars-n-Coffee at the Del Taco Headquarters building's parking lot off of the Interstate 5 or 405 freeways from 7-ish to 9-ish. Maybe Jim & some local Teeners with running 914s will be there (mine is an in progress project in my garage unfortunately). This one is every Sat morning.

June 26 is the LA Porsche Club's Concourse, so there may be some 914s there too if you're still in town then - since there was one 914 entered & 3 on display or parked at our Orange County one this past Saturday 6/11.

The closest/best Porsche dealership is Circle Porsche over in Long Beach, if you want to gawk at "new P-car metal". drooley.gif

Safe travels & have a great visit! piratenanner.gif

Cars & Coffee each Saturday at the Taco Bell building parking lot is a must see ! There must be 300 + cars including many Porsche's and rare cars are often seen there. You want to arrive there by 7:00 am ; by 9:00, participants are starting to leave.

Worth going to smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Niklas,

I'm in HB, and if you are inclined, you are welcome to come over, have a beer or glass of wine, and visit to see what I've got going on with my project. It would be great to meet a Teener from Europe.

PM me and I will give you my address.

If you want to drive up to Beverly Hills later that same morning or noon-ish, there's also this Porsche Club Concours event (I'll be there judging), but I'm not sure how many 914s will be there, although there should definitely be some old school aircooled 356, 911, 912 & 930 represented. -

Try Einmalig who may have some NOS
888-777-6772
714-894-7126
5455 Production Dr., HB
8-5 M-F (no weekends)

Also - if you want to do some touring, Jonathan at GPR is up in Santa Maria - a nice 3 hr drive up the coast north of Santa Barbara. He's a member vendor on here. An added plus - the infamous Kap'n Crusty's shop is only a few blocks from GPR.

Otto's in Venice is an old school aircooled P-car shop with some parts (north of LAX on the way to/from Santa Barbara).
707 S. Hampton Dr., Venice CA
310-399-3221
www.ottosvenice.com

Pelican is also in the South Bay - but I don't have their address handy, so that is an easy drive from HB or on the way to Santa Barbara/Santa Maria as well.
888-280-7799
310-640-7799
www.pelicanparts.com

North Hollywood Speedometer is here in the San Fernando Valley north of LA, & can rebuild any VDO instruments on short notice or while you wait (if you have anything here),and may have some nice rebuilt/restored 914 VDOs for sale.
6111 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood CA
818-761-5134

With all that, you'll be a busy man! biggrin.gif

Niklas, ClubNARP was pointed out because Joe Sharp (who started that board) lives in Huntington Beach. Great guy. As Gint said, Huntington Beach is more or less Team NARP Headquarters. Might be easier to PM him there, though he's around this board too.

Depending on what you need, you can get stuff from V Dub Parts Unlimited in Huntington Beach as well (I did when I was there, fuel hoses, etc). Not sure about more specific 914 parts, but I'm sure Joe Sharp would know as well as the links already posted here.
