If anybody is looking for a alternative inner door seal (the one on the car not the door).
You can get it at your local Freightliner dealership.
The part# is 22-25294-005 and will do both sides
with about a foot left over. Fits good and should cost
about $40.00 CDN / $27.00 US.

I sure love finding these cheap alternatives!

I used part number 12335A44 from McMaster
It's $1.55 US per foot and my notes show that I bought 25 feet for two cars. You might want to check the length required again. The bulb is a bit smaller than the stock one and so it may not seal as well, but it sure looks good.

I also bought 22 feet of 12335A42 from them and used it to replace my rear trunk seal.
This one lists for $1.51 per foot.

At these prices it sure is easy to replace them!

Thanks to Ray, I just used the frieghtliner seal and only a true 914 nut or a concours judge can tell the difference. Size for size it is the same as my old one. The only difference is the pattern on the ridged part, but you have to look close to tell.
Thanks Ray. beerchug.gif

Does freightliner exist in the states? I couldn't find one locally.

Why not put this post in classics for our poor memory.

There is at least one in every state and probably 2 or 3 in every major city.

Hey Tampa Teeners!!!! I visited Freightliner on Adamo Drive in Brandon today and purchased their seal package. $28.45 including tax. The seal is slightly different than the Porsche part. Enough difference that I probably wouldn't put them on my Sahara Beige concours car but I had no problem putting it on my 914-6 that still had the original 34 year old seals. They fit great and I'm very pleased with them.

FYI these seals are $43.25 each, on the bird, so this is an over $50 savings. smilie_pokal.gif

BTW Dave, it still pisses me off that the 914 BBS parts link takes you to the 911 parts. rolleyes.gif

He keeps the stuff in stock and cuts to fit (+2") both the door seal and the front/rear trunk seals. Sells them mostly on eBay.
