My rear brakes are getting tight by themselves. I don't have any E-brake cables on the car. After they get tight, I can "fix" the problem by adjusting the clearance (with the allen screws). Does anyone have an idea as to what may be causing my problem? My mechanic did not now how the automatic adjustment works on the rear breaks. Thanks for any help.

Brian,

the calipers will need to come off. It sounds like a small round clip came out of the inside piston. The clip holds the adjuster to the back of the piston. If this comes out.. you get a weird auto adjusting *feature*. I wish I had some pics to show... you but I dont have any right now.

You will need to pull the inside pistons out of the calipers and reset the clip that holds the adjusting set screw.

Thanks Brad. I'll see what I can do.
