It WILL drive this summer. I am getting closer every Friday. Last week I got three hours to work on the car, instead of the usual 1 hour!

Had a few hours tonight sans kid and wife, car work actually got done!

Wednesday I will have another window of time. If I can work like I did tonight, by Friday all I need is some fuel in the tank and a little time to balance carbs and check timing.

At any rate, the only way its going BACK on jackstands will be to find leaks in the SSI exchangers, and I will have to drive the car to see if it leaks. So its going to get driven before it goes back on stands. And if it still has issues, I'll drive the thing to Translog and tell them to call me when its done. I want to be working on the truck now...

I hope you get your car done in time. I know some people are poking fun at you here, but I honestly hope you do get the car done or at least drive it some...it gets depressing having these cool cars and not being able to drive them. Believe me, I know and I also hope you make some time and get the work done....perhaps you could ask a few friends to help out too....throw in a few beers, some BBQ chicken and you may be surprised how much work can be accomplised in a three day weekend.

I just got cofirmation. Zach is not drinking Beer. He is working on the car, and is very excited to have it running as soon as he gets a paiece for the carb linkage.

I am close. Thought I might surprise Mike and Scott by driving the car to Va tomorrow. But came home to a frustrated wife and a long honeydo list. Oh well, she is letting me escape for a weekend.
Maybe Tuesday (aka the next time I will see the inside of my garage).
Hopefully I bolt the carbs back on, fill with gas, spend an hour tuning and then drive.
