After meeting with Chris Foley at the Northeast Rallye & BBQ this past weekend and watching Chris consume generous amounts of liquid (seltzer), I was able to get the following quote (paraphrased a bit):

"My mission in life is to drive 90mph at least once every day."

I'll be forwarding that to the local authorities for their comment shortly.

James Smith

BTW. I was also able to view several of his coming projects. As soon as I can assemble the list I'll post it as well. See what you all missed by not attending....

We missed out, no question. Only a 6000 mile round trip, but probably would have been worth it. biggrin.gif

That's not quit right James. What I said was, "My stated goal for driving my white car is to reach 90mph at least once each day that I drive it."
I achieve that goal about 50% of the time, and not on the freeway usually. happy11.gif
I don't give a shit if I don't go fast in the Dakota or in Mary's Prius.

Granted I was paraphrasing. It was tough to understand what you were driving at with your seltzer induced stumper <sic>..

Oh God, so you know my pain...
Step on gas....nada...

Takes an hour to get to 90.

I don't think the Prius is slow at all, but when I drive it I always try to increase the mpg from what Mary was getting, so I use the go pedal rather judiciously.

I think that seltzer you saw me drinking was the only one on Saturday.
Other than that all I drank was Ten Penny. beer3.gif

And Sunday, since the keg wasn't quite empty, I had 4 glasses by lunchtime. beer.gif

Sorry. Mary told me not to mention your drinking problem.

Its slow, dont fool yourself.
The interactive game of trying to beat the wifes MPG...and hypermiling...pulse driving is entertaining....but trying to pass someone on the highway reminds me of driving a beetle...it takes long term planning.

I have the 2009...and I am not a huge fan of the transmission.
I rented a 2010...the power button makes it fun to drive.

Chris, I'm pretty sure that's when you hit your 90 for the day.

I'll see you tomorrow, give you the heads up when we're close. Keep her dry, thanks.

Joe

Oh yeah, I'm tryin' to figger out how to post it, and edit out where I had my finger on the lens..... blink.gif

No, I did that when I drove home to get the truck and trailer. biggrin.gif
