So i pulled my motor and trans today because i want to go back to FI, before i do that i need to fix an intake stud hole. The hole is stripped and i was gonna use a timesert to repair it. The intake stud is M8 x 1.25, so im planning on purchasing that timesert kit, my only question is will the 11.7mm length be good, or should i purchase longer inserts?

Thanks Everyone

That's a particularly thin area, so measuring the depth is in order. Might be OK, might not. Don't want an insert that will expand and lock into thin air, do we?

i hear you on that captain. another question, if the insert is the correct size, i have to drill a larger hole and then use the included tap. should i worry about possibly drilling to far down?
