I would like to replace the K&N air filters on my car with something that would provide better air filtration. It's a cammed 2056 with 40 IDF's and a crossbar linkage, primarily street driven. Are there any replaceable elements that will substitute for the K&N ovals, or am I limited to Outerwares over the filters I already have? I've looked through the usual Fram, Purolator etc. catalogs at parts houses, but haven't been able to identyify anything appropriate. Any ideas on truck or industrial filters?
Thanks,
Harvey

Sorry to hijack this thread but.... are there K&N filters available for the original 2.0 air cleaner? If so, anyone have the partnumber?

Thanks...we now return you back to your original thread....

Harvy, I dont know.. Cleaning and putting oil on it does a good job at filtration...

just clean often and don't over oil it...reminds me, I need to do that on mine.

I think Pipercross makes some really nice foam filters. Chris Campbell has them I think. I'm not sure about the north american supplier for them, do a websearch.
