Hey everyone-
I just got off the phone with Mike Moody and the show is on and the date is 9-17-2011.

Those of you who have made it out for the swap know Roundtop is a good one, always good deals and parts that have not seen the light of day for years. Unobtanium will be doing our FREE gift bags again so there is at least one reason to make it out.

This is a laid back event where you can just hang out and swap, no rushes, parking problems, or traffic, just sunshine and cool Porsches, all air-cooled, so you don't have to hunt through all the 944 stuff to find a 356 part.

We need the hobbiests to come out and showcase their stuff, the regular guys like me will be there but the fun stuff is the couple of boxes a lot of you guys have in the corner of the garage, this is the stuff that can get back into circulation.

I've wanted to attend this event but the logistics haven't worked out - yet... So far - that weekend looks good. it's on my calendar !

I'm hoping to move some parts before then, but it's good to know there's a stop on the road to Hershey !

It is always a quick crowd at Roundtop, people who want to sell parts are never dissappointed. Everyone should make it out, we can make the swap meet great again, kick EBAY in the teeth, for one day at least!!!

Seriously, everyone always complains about EBAY is ruining it and the swap meet used to be the way for all of us to connect. Well, this is your chance to put your money (and your parts) where you mouth is. Come out, hang out, swap, shop, or just enjoy the sunshine. Hey everyone-
I just checked the weather and it is looking like sunny with a high of 69, sounds just about perfect. Roundtop is a great laid back event to show off your car or buy/sell parts. I encourage everyone to grab a few boxes of parts to pay for gas and come on down. The weather is supposed to be nice all weekend so you can enjoy the ride there and the ride home.

I know I get on my soapbox about this but, WE ARE THE PORSCHE COMMUNITY and while we don't have the power to change the price of oil, climate change, or fix the Euro debt crisis, we DO have the power to make a Porsche event fun, but we have to support.

If anything you can stop by the Unobtanium booth and get a FREE gift bag full of great stuff like Porsche cars, Factory Shop Towels (Thanks Stoddard), California Car Dusters, bootleg Messko gauges, lots of great stuff!!!!

I am only 20 min away

But, I broke my car (dead cylinder) and its my wifes B-Day. I will not be comming. Really sounds like fun though. I hope the other guys show.

How do we identify ourselves? Should I get an OU8AVW name tag?

Beautiful spot, chilly weather and only one 914. It was a bad ass 3.2 conversion. There seemed to be more sellers than buyers. I will admit, I was one of only a couple of VW guys (I had Ghia parts). I sold like $40 worth of stuff then traded for a pair of 2.0 heads I don't need. Met three 914 guys, none of which openly admitted to being active here.
I'll try to post a few pictures later.....

Hi Mike - I think I was one of the 3 914 guys you spoke with. I told you I had a ghia when I was in college - should have mentioned the site, now I can put a face with a member. I did pick up a few plastic trim pieces but people were boxing stuff up early, I should have gotten there earlier in the morning, still fun to chat and meet people.
