My girlfriend got a chance to go to both while in Germany on business and she did say the MB museum was more impressive but then she doesn't suffer from the affliction as I do.

I agree. The Mercedes museum is more impressive. Mercedes is also the brand that invented automobile. They have a much longer story, they are in cars, trucks and much more. They also have more money to spend.
We visited both with the Porsche 914 Club of France last year. We visited the Porsche museum in the morning, had a lunch in the museum and spent the afternoon at the Mercedes museum. What a day !...

Well done video !!!!!! great day for anyone a must on your bucket list even if you are not a car guy. Detroit does not have the history or pride to build a museum like this much more 2 !! Forgot BMW is just as impressive!!
