Hey all - the throttle linkage on the 73 1.7L FI seem a little random.....it sits below a bracket that is pretty loose, and that holds the air filter in place/??? Help me please, I'm not sure this is a solid or long term fix since the bracket and air cleaner are both loose....what should it look like?

The linkage should be on the intake body while the air filter should connect independently from that. Good luck!

The air cleaner bracket is bolted down to the engine case and the throttle cable goes underneath it.
It should look something like this.
