When did they change the brake rotors? I have a set of rotors from a 72 and it didn't cut a 76. the offset is dfferent. So much that the calipers couldn't fit. What year did they start changing them?

Front rotors changed late in 1972 MY on the 914/4

If I'm not mistaken the early first 1100+ 73's where still non hub centric.

My production date is 6/72 and they are hub centric. They could have been updated though.

There were three rotors with the non-hub-centric late offset type used for a short time from the change in the 1972 MY until early in the 1973 MY. They were quickly superseded by the hub-centric type.

Orange914 is right. My 73 2.0L is 47329001102 and the original hubs were not centric, but I was able to put new centric's on and they worked perfectly with a set of rebuilt Eric Shea 73 front calipers. Bolted right together.

Not sure if older calipers would work, but I made sure in the conversion that I got 73 calipers all around, and 73 rotors.

Have not done the rears yet, but the fronts work great!

Is that not what I explained above? Yes, the non-hub-centric were used into 1973 production, but it was ALSO the late offset that was different from what was used in 1970 & 1972.
