If you do not need working injectors what difference does it make if they are 2.0 type?

I automatically typed it since they will be mounted in a 2.0 engine. I was going to try machining them to receive CIS injectors instead of trying to fab a new bracket.

I could swear I saw someone do this in a thread on here somewhere?

Since the CIS injector is a press fit with rubber "O" rings (no bracket), I would be machining inserts for the manifolds rather than fooling with stock injectors.

Not intended to dis your project.

No dis taken. I'm going to be using the body of the stock injectors, machining a press fit for the CIS. That way we can use the stock bracket and mounting. No welding needed if it works?!

Hold up. The CIS reciever cups on a VW 1.8l rabbit motor are screwed in. Is there enough meat in the intake manifold to drill and tap them to accept the rabbit injector cups? They're already bossed for the o rings.
