Hey anyone, but especially Dr. Stone of Riverside!!
I need 16 black or chrome EMPI lug bolts. On my older rotors, the Fuchs barely fit, and now I know I need shorter ones.
Black is good because I would have them powdercoated on the heads and clean the threads.
Bruce Stone!
Do you have any worth restoring that are at least 1/2 shorter than Fuchs?
I remember that jar of lugs in your garage, but I would want 16 cleaned up and black PC by your guy.
Along with those door nuts and bolts and screws, if you are getting to them.
Thanks!

Hmmmm, Dr Stone, I must be coming up in the 914 world or you are just sucking up for a good deal.
Yeah I have all kinds of lug bolts. Powder coating them will require they be very clean and masking the mating surface and threads.
Another option may be black oxide coating. I was going to do that with the alloy lug bolts.
I will consult with my intern to see if he concurs and let you know the diagnosis.

Nothing like having a specialist on the job!
Thanks!
Call me on the door screws when you can.

Just a note, you may need to get studs, empi's may require the concave washer with lug. Hope this helps. Check california vw's or other suppliers. If you need more info, PM me and I will pull my catalog out to help you. They have them in chrome and not too expensive.
