'76 2.0 Calif car w/cat (2.0 Euro P/L all else stock):
did search, seems Bursch is the way to go...BUT go w/stock '76 Bursch w/out cat or just back-date entire system to '74 and earlier; goal is to increase exhaust flow but also decrease temps.
Any bennefit to boring throttle body a few MM or is this just 'snake oil' gimick with no real world advantage? Any advantage to back-dating to '74 injectors?
ok, here's what i have to say:
1) the '76 exhaust is very different from earlier models, you should go back to a complete '73 or '74 system, heat-exchangers and all, and then add a new bursch.
that'll help her breath.
2) boring out the TB DOES NOT work unless you redesign the whole assembly, in fact, if you just bore it out, you will LOSE power. the TB intake is a venturi (just like on carbs) and you will lose the acceleration of the air through the venturi if you bore it out.
3) injectors are fine, no need to switch.
