Porsche Rescue
A long story: Three years ago I met Chuck Mulligan (914-6, signal orange#17) at the vintage races at PIR. He was mid-season in winning his SCCA vintage class for that year. I had just bought my gray 6 and stopped to look at his car in the pits. He and his wife were extremely hospitable. He told me he was leading in SCCA season points and I said "you must have been racing for a long time" since he looked a bit older than me. He said, "No, about 6 years". Then he told me he was 67! I was 59 then and needless to say, thought maybe it wasn't too late for me. Haven't quite generated the courage or money to go to racing school, but I still think about it from time to time. Chuck would be 70 now. A really fine gentleman. Stop and talk to him next year, Scotty.
