This has been reduced. I am out of the country for school and need to sell this car. Sorry if its been seen before but I would like to sell it to help pay for school. This is a 1966 Porsche 912, short wheelbase car. I have owned the car for five years and done extensive work to during that time. It has new brakes (fully rebuilt calipers, new brake lines, new pads, turned rotors (for the first time), the brakes are great. New Koni shocks (Boge style strut inserts) in the front, used but very nice Koni shocks in the rear. New Tires. New headlights. 914 steering wheel (looks same as factory but slightly smaller diameter. Also have original) Professionally replaced front suspension pan with factory reproduction sheet metal replacements. Gas tank has been pulled, cleaned and painted. New Fuel lines from gas tank to carbs. New Interstate battery. New aftermarket factory style rear view mirror (drivers side only). All Chrome and glass is perfect, or darn close. Very good weather stripping, no leaks. Original carpet in front trunk and cabin interior. Replaced front hood latch. New front trunk shocks (not installed) Brand NEW NEW NEW engine! Professionally rebuilt by Soren Anderson in Santa Rosa, CA ( I HAVE ALL RECORDS) who specializes air cooled Porsche machine work and building. Specs are: 1720cc graphite coated cast pistons with biral cylinders from AA. New cam ground to an Elgin spec 280 degree with .330" lift by Ariel (formerly with Cal Cams). Heads completely gone through and rebuilt, all runners cleaned up and lightly polished. Crank polished, new main bearings, flywheel surfaced, new sachs clutch disc and pressure plate. Cases were replaced with a '69 core which has a solid mount oil cooler - "will not work loose and leak like previous model years," so I am told. 1969 style motor mount - the strongest of them all, and not a solid mount so much less vibration and noise. New clutch cable and housing. Entire engine bay steam cleaned, sanded and painted with two part epoxy paint containing 72% solids - used on off shore oil rigs so it should last a while! All engine sheet metal has been hot-tanked, sandblasted, and powder coated 70% black. Weber IDF 40's fully serviced and tuned for the new motor by me, but per reccomendation of Pierce Manifolds, Gilroy CA. (These guys are amazing Weber specialists!) Factory exhaust sandblasted and painted with POR 15 Factory Manifold Gray. New Voltage Regulator. New starter. New RSR 0012 distributor from CSP. New Fan belt. Heater boxes and valves serviced (also hot-tanked and sandblasted), new heater cables. Please contact my Dad in Sonoma to see the car, Tom 707 696 0098
