Help, when I pull the handel to pop the hood on my 71 914 it comes out till it hits the stop. The shop put to much slack in the cable, I think. I see under the dash there is a 10mm bolt holding a bracket to the body and two screws holding the bracket to the handel. I can not get any of them out. Anybody got a way for me to get in? Or do I just have to cut the 10mm bolt off? And will that do the trick? Anyone got a way in? Thanks, Don or do i

You need to remove the front bumper. Once off there is a small hole in the front panel that you can stick a small screwdriver in to pop the latch.

Yes remove front bumper and use screwdriver though slot to open
truck, then you can adjust the cable with trunck open.
