If it's of any help, had a 2.8L with GE80 cams in my 914-6 and it was a rocket ship to 60 - less than 5 sec.

The key to the whole setup was the cams.

We are in the process of rebuilding the engine after 60K hard miles ... this time, even MORE pump with twin-plug, etc.

It depends also on whether you want hi-end power or low-end. A 3.6 is generally set up for high end with big carbs, etc.

I get scared over 100 so I like the 0-60 pump but each to their own !!!

Good luck ...

BTW, I had BIG brakes ( late 930 ) which came in handy every now and again.

love sliding a car into a turn. punching the gas and exiting the turn faster than when I entered...

Trying a set of GE 60-80-100 is on my list of things to do
