I built this for EP 914 project. I did not like any of the available dry sump pumps for the type 4 engine so I designed my own. 3 stage Aviaid dry sump pump. 1.5" scavenge stage, 1" scavenge stage, 1.25" pressure stage. Comes with Vanagon fan shroud, mount, pulleys and the drive mandrel. $750.00 The pump alone was that much.

It is for a race car. Not worried about an alternator.
