The really heavy stuff was south of town, down twards Lancaster.
(about 10-15 miles south of downtown)

I live on the north side of town (10 miles north of down town)
and we got 3-4 inches.
The good part at least for us up north is that the rain was
spread out over 8+ hours rather than one of those total downpours
that drops 2-3 inches in less than an hour.

At least it looks like there were no tornados or large hail.

Last spring, my wife and I sat in a restaurant and watched her
car (along with 100 other cars) get hammered with softball sized hail
for about 20 minutes.
Her Cavalier looked like somebody got a large hammer and took out
all their bad boss/ex-spouse frustrations out on the car.

There were so many cars damaged, that it took about 10 months
to finally get the damage repaired.

I'm sitting in the airport terminal in Detroit waiting for my "weather-delayed" flight to take me home to big D. Hope my car hasn't washed away!

Good news is that the airport terminal has wireless internet and I can surf the board to keep me occupied. I like to think of it as "independent study time" in preparation for the work I have to do on the car this weekend.

The wife sent me to work in her 914 yesterday because I get to park in a parking deck and she parks outside. She was worried about hail and a 914 that leaks a little water inside it. It was a bitch driving to work in all that rain, but other than that, we just had some mulch washed out of the garden..

Everyone is fine here.

Sean,
Thanks for asking about us...LOL I'm sure it is not a laughing matter for the folks that live in Lancaster... All is well on our homefront. This has, I beleive, been one of the wettest summers in the history of the state. The lakes, for the most part are at full capacity, and the ground is pretty well saturated from rains we had a few weeks ago -
If it continunes to rain, you will be seeing more of what you saw in Lacaster (flooding)

Thanks again,
Thom
