Full Version: shift lever keeps moving to the left

so my shift lever rotates to the left over time from shifting into 1st or reverse, is this comon, it seems pretty tight and I'm hesitant to try to rotate it another 360 degrees because I dont think it'll make it.

any helpfull advise would be great, thanks

Are you sure it's not just the shift knob that's rotating. Mine does that over time.

nope, its the whole rod, it ends up bumping into my right leg when shifting into reverse or first. thats when I'll hold it at the base, and rotate the whole arm counter clockwise. it takes a bit of force to move it, thats why I'm hsitant to try doing a whole 360 degree clockwise turn. unsure.gif

That is not right. Something is loose.

the rod itself has broken free of its original epoxy. take it out and weld that puppy.
