I got tired of using of hood prop to keep the rear trunk open so I bought the shock absorber type hinges a lot of guys use on the V8 conversions.

Just reaching out to ask if they are easy to install and if there are any anticpiated problems. The shocks I got are very stiff. I could not depress them or open them.

Do you mean the camp 914kit?

If so, pretty easy to fit tbh!

Yes that is it.

A drill, several beers ... no problem

Put them on all the cars I've had.

You have to make a notch in where the shock comes through the firewall, at the trunk front seal, then attach it by the seals on the side.. Its about 1 beers worth of work. 2 if you work slow smile.gif

I am actually a litle scared. Usually it is the simple stuff I screw up.

Pretty hard to screw it up. Just lay it out and think through it prior to doing anything.
