I have a 1972 1.7 with about 50k miles on it. I recently got a set of stainless steel heat exchangers off Craigs list. My original heat exchangers are fine, is there any advantage to performance advantage to switching them out?
Thanks

the ID of SSHE's is larger than that of regular steel HE's - but the performance benefit has got to be small. jim

When I did this to my 1.7 (20 years ago ) it was a noticeable improvement.

Keep your exchangers untill they are shot.
