Hi All,
I'm agonizing over what I should do to hold my new german loop carpets down.
I really don't want to glue them in, particularly over all the wires on the tunnel.

What did you guys do?

No carpet. She's shaved.

How fast does your car go!!? I don't have a problem with my carpet flapping around. If there is an issue however, you might try dabs of 3m trim adhesive in problem areas. I certainly wouldn't glue down more down than necessary.

I purchased Lloyd carpets for my teener. They are heavy pile and fit tight so flapping is not an issue.

Can the double sided tape be reused multiple times? lets say for the center tunnel area.

Yes, but you may need to replace the tape bits after a few times on-n-off.

You guys recall what brand double sided tape you used? I tested out two different ones; one from Lowes the other from Home Depot. Stuck to the metal surface well, but not the carpet. Going to look into velcro as well. Didn't see any at the Lowes or HD.

You can get adhesive backed 2 inch wide velco at Walmart, works good.
Comes in Black or White.

I read a great trick recently.

Get all the tape put in place..then put the piece in the clothes dryer.
Spray it with some water first...just a misting.
Heat it up in the dryer for 5-10 minutes, then take it to the car and put it in place while its warm.
It loosens up the glue just enough to allow you to mold it by hand.
