I have completed the engine to the short block stage. Most of the books are now installing the flywheel. My engine stand is not going to allow me to do that without removing the engine from the stand. I think. Can I wait to install the flywheel and check the endplay or is in important to do it now and come up with a way to get the engine back on the stand?

Granted I'm not as experienced, but I agree. That was one of the last things I did short of installing the trans/clutch/starter etc right before putting it in the car.
